Enjoy an evening of holiday music featuring a delightful mix of classic tunes and contemporary arrangements. The program includes favorites like "You're A Mean One, Mr. Grinch," "Symphonic Highlights from Frozen," and the timeless "White Christmas."

We are excited to feature special performances from Jesse Floyd, Charles Blesch, and Kerri Blanford. We're also pleased to welcome Dr. David Smith as our guest conductor for "A Most Wonderful Christmas."

Soloist Bio:

Jesse Floyd is originally from Hopkinsville, KY, and retired from teaching after 31 years as a music educator in 2013 but remained active in the Hardin County schools for an additional four years. He has recently returned to teaching and is the assistant band director at Meade County High School in Brandenburg, KY. He received his Bachelor and Master’s Degrees from Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, TN, where he studied trombone with Willis Hackman, euphonium with James Garrett, tuba with Ace Martin and Ken Kronholtz, and bassoon with Kathleen Dregalla. He has also studied trombone with Richard Cryder, Ray Conklin, Ray Horton, and Joe Parrish. Besides teaching, Jesse is active as a private teacher and performer. In addition to being the bass trombonist in the Evansville Symphonic Band, he is a member of the Top and Heartland Brass Quintets, the Derby City Brass Band, the Wednesday Night Band, and is the orchestra conductor for the Youth Theater of Hardin County. He has also performed with the Louisville Orchestra, Kentucky Opera, Louisville Ballet, Elysian Trombone Consort, the Dallas Brass, the Louisville Philharmonia, Al Martino, and Maureen McGovern. He is formally a member of the Bloomington Brass Band, Louisville Civic Orchestra, the Derby Town Bones, the Louisville and Heartland Winds, Music Theater Louisville, and the Southern Baptist Seminary Orchestra. He has performed with jazz groups in Kentucky, Indiana, and Tennessee, including Zynergy, the Clarksville Big Band Sound, and the Don Kreckel Orchestra. Many of his past students have gone on to become music educators and professional musicians.
